Fourteen Locks
Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal
A great place to visit and a fantastic heritage lottery funded education program for schools
A canal trust run centre at a stunning location on the Mon & Brec Canal. It is located on a flight of fourteen locks with side ponds - Cefn Flight. The locks are not all in working order although the trust are working to restore more of the locks this year. It is fascinating to see the contrast between the empty locks and the ones that have been restored to full working order and of course watching the work progress on the latest project will be interesting too.
